Sophie Barnes

Sophie Barnes is a Research Coordinator in the EASEL lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, primarily working on the evaluation of a recently developed intervention, Brain Games. Sophie’s research interests include the development and measurement of executive function and other regulation-related skills, identifying and evaluating interventions and strategies that support social-emotional learning and growth, program evaluation, and reducing race- and income-based achievement gaps. Previously, Sophie was the Assistant Data Analyst for Catalyzing Comprehension through Discussion and Debate (CCDD), a 5-year study that evaluated the effects of the Word Generation Curriculum on reading comprehension and related outcomes. She has an Ed.M. from the Child Advocacy Strand of the Human Development and Psychology program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.S. in Applied Psychology from New York University.
